Inspired by the Valie Export piece, “Tap and Touch”, Trenda’s performance will focus on a personal space in regards to mobile devices. The artist will be completely covered in a synthetic suit with forty small LCD cell phone screens. The image on the devises will change depending on how far away the viewer is from the artist. The artist is represented by The McLoughlin Gallery.

Angel Ortiz (now known as LAII or LA Roc) was 13 years old when he began his fateful collaboration with Keith Haring. Haring, who called him “the graffiti king of the Lower East Side,” had sought out the young Angel after seeing his “tag” throughout NYC. The two collaborated from that point on and were part of a coterie of artists including Andy Warhol and Basquiat who were known almost as much for their “downtown” lifestyle as for their art. Jules Feiffer is an internationally acclaimed cartoonist, playwright, screenwriter and author. His satirical outlook and probing wit have influenced several generations politically, sexually and socially. He has made an important and varied contribution to America’s cultural life. His syndicated cartoon strip, for which he was awarded a Pulitzer Prize, ran for

40 years in The Village Voice. He has written more than 35 books, plays and film scripts. Mr. Feiffer has received numerous awards and honors including an academy award for his short animated film Munro and NYC Literary Honors. Among his most recent book Mr. Feiffer now presents his first noir graphic novel, Kill My Mother. The Phantom Tollbooth, for which he did the illustrations, has celebrated 50 years in publication. Over the past several years, there has been a continuously growing interest in Korean contemporary art in NYC and across America. To satisfy this curiosity, The Korean Art Show was produced in a popular NYC venue and attended by thousands. This year’s edition of the Korean Art Show escapes to the East End of Long Island and transforms into Korea Contemporary @ ArtHamptons. Korea Contemporary @ ArtHamptons is an inspirational display of 15 carefully-selected Korean galleries which have been fully integrated into the show floor, alongside exhibitors from 11 other countries.
