Why the Summer of 2008
ArtHamptons is a rare opportunity to show and sell art at what’s considered America’s No.1 summer resort during the height of the season. ArtHamptons is held during the popular weekend just after July 4-when the Hamptons population soars from 75,000 year round to over 300,000. Hamptonites regularly embrace such summer cultural events with a passion. In fact, our Bridgehampton neighborhood becomes a hi-trafficked art mecca that weekend with an Antiques Fair and a popular charity art auction featuring local talent, nearby.
A Centrally Located Site
The Bridgehampton Historical Society is strategically located right in the center of the Hamptons, in the affluent town of Bridgehampton. (One of the 10 priciest zip codes in America according to Forbes) The site abutts the main thoroughfare, Montauk Highway, where over 30,000 cars pass daily. The Art Fair building, which is specially constructed for this event, is an Anchorspan modular structure. Its a fully-enclosed, walled, floored, carpeted, air-conditioned and sound proofed tent/building without poles. 24 hour security will be supplied.
Exhibitor-friendly Experience
Our ArtHamptons Selection Committee will invite a select and limited group of 40 galleries.. Our exhibitor-friendly environment features freshly sanded, painted 10 ft. sturdy 3 inch thick walls with standard lighting. Extra lighting is available and will be supplied to meet your specific needs.
